Spotlight Sumatra

Spotlight Sumatra was an outdoor photography exhibition organized by the Sumatran Orangutan Society to raise awareness of Sumatra’s most endangered species. Held near London’s Tower Bridge in May 2017, the event called for an identity system as compelling as its cause.

Identity System

Constructed from a series of circles, the wordmark reinforces the spotlight through knocked-out counters and a circular "O," while symbols for the orangutan, elephant, rhino and tiger each sit in a spotlight of their own.

Exhibition Graphics

A vibrant color palette aids species identification while bringing positive energy to the panels, each built on a strong typographic hierarchy and grid that keeps the experience cohesive across the full exhibition.
